The Trusts Act 2019 came into effect on 30 January 2021, bringing major changes to existing trust law. The new act imposes additional compliance duties on trustees including the requirement to provide basic trust information to each beneficiary, the retention of core trust documentation, limiting the trustee exemption and indemnity clauses, and imposing mandatory and default duties on them. In light of the law changes we are recommending that Trust Deeds be reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose and all Trustees are made aware of their obligation under the new Act. On holiday from out of town, I needed to swear an affidavit urgently and return it to my lawyers in Wellington. Tracey went above and beyond to help me get this done within the deadline. Also thanks to Brent who took the time out of his busy Friday to sign my 200 pages. Very grateful for their service.

Caring staff: I recently used this firm for the first time, it was recommended to me as I am not a Taupō local. Thank you for your outstanding service and caring nature.
